While there are a variety of ways to mount bicycles
on an SUV, there are also several compromises that can come with mounting
systems. For example, storing bikes in the cargo area can mean getting
that part of the vehicle muddy. Top Line has a receiver-mounted bike
rack that can hold as many as tow bicycles of any type, without needing
to remove the front wheel. There is an attachment that will allow you
to carry an additional two bicycles. This product secures the bikes
at the crank and at the seat post, with the wheel tray straps. The rack
folds down for cargo area access. It mounts in a standard 2-inch receiver
and is secured with a locking pin.
